General Statement of Duties
Performs a wide variety of tasks and duties related to accounts payable and customer service.
Distinguishing Features of the Class
An employee in this class is responsible for performing accounts payable, generating a variety of financial reports, and performing related fiscal duties. Work requires use of paraprofessional accounting knowledge and accuracy in data input and review. Work is performed under regular supervision of the Finance Director through observation, conferences, review of work, and audit of the records by an external auditor.

Essential Duties and Tasks
· Acts as receptionist; answers telephone; greets and assists visitors, citizens and customers
· Processes all financial documents which support the accounts payable function; ensures invoices have proper approval, enters information in computer; reconciles totals, prints checks, mails payments and maintains files
· Processes purchase order requests; ensures departmental approval; ensures sufficient funds are available in the appropriate account; obtains Finance approval; processes purchase orders and notifies the department; maintains copies in file to match invoices.
· Sets up and maintains current vendor listing in accounting system with addresses, tax identification number, and other information; creates new vendor files; processes W-9’s and 1099’s and obtains other document verifications.
· Prepares annual sales and use tax refund reports.
· Uses spreadsheets for reconciling major vendor accounts such as hardware stores, fuels, utility, phone, and purchase card accounts and distributes expenses to departments.
· Assists with the annual audit process.
· Monitors credit cards and ensures credit availability as well as monitor online purchases
· Research inquiries from other departments regarding purchase orders, requisitions, payments, and other accounting issues.

General Statement of Duties
The Code Enforcement Officer performs a wide variety of tasks and duties as related to the overall enforcement of City codes and ordinances, nuisance, minimum housing, and matters to health and safety. The Code Enforcement Officer works closely with the general public to provide customer service on code issues and must exercise appropriate firmness, tact, and courteousness in carrying out duties.

· Provide a variety of field and office work in support of the City’s local code enforcement program.
· Maintain accurate documentation and case files on all investigations, inspections, enforcement actions and other job related activities including accurate and detailed information regarding code enforcement activity to substantiate violations; draw diagrams, and illustrations and take photographs.
· Enforces the City’s nuisance and zoning ordinances, as well as any other applicable land use regulations, and performs field inspections related to such.
· Follows up on concerns and inquiries from the public, provides follow-up responses to such concerns and inquiries.
· Works with property owners and businesses to ensure timely compliance with all applicable requirements.
· Prepares evidence in support of legal actions taken by the City, if necessary, and appears in court if needed.
· Complies with all applicable department safety rules and regulations.
· Provides monthly and annual reports detailing enforcement activities and presents at meetings as needed.
· Provides research and recommendations on changes or modifications to enforcement policies and applicable ordinances.
· Operates computer to enter, process, and acquire data relative to complaints, inspections sites, and effective code enforcement.

General Statement of Duties
Performs general and special duty law enforcement work to protect life and property in the City.
Distinguishing Features of the Class
An employee in this class performs a full range of general law enforcement duties. Work includes patrolling the city during an assigned shift; preventing, detecting, and investigating disturbances and crime; performing traffic control work; apprehending suspects; and executing related assignments. Employees must exercise judgement, initiative and calm control when performing duties; more difficult problems are normally carried out under the direction of or in conjunction with a Police Sergeant. Work involves frequent public contact which requires tact, firmness, and decisiveness. Work is performed in accordance with departmental policy and state and federal law, supplemented with specific directions from supervisors. Work is performed under the supervision of the Chief of Police and is evaluated through review of reports and conference for effectiveness of programs and acceptance of the community.

· Patrols streets in a police car or on foot; checks doors and windows; examines premises of unoccupied residences or buildings; detects unusual conditions, may maintain surveillance and observation for stolen cars, missing persons, or suspects; report dangerous or defective streets, sidewalks, traffic lights, or other hazardous conditions
· Responds to calls for assistance, complaints, suspicious activity, domestic disputes, loud and disruptive behavior; completes calls by determining true nature of the situation and taking whatever legal action is warranted
· Issues traffic citations and parking tickets as required; writes accident reports
· Investigates traffic accidents; directs traffic and participates in other emergency operation activities
· Performs investigations of accidents or possible crimes through observation, questioning witnesses, and gathering physical evidence; performs investigative tasks, arrests, and processes criminal suspects; presents testimony in court
· Serves warrants and subpoenas; apprehends and processes criminal suspects and transports to magistrate and/or County detention facilities
· Regulates and directs vehicular traffic at local schools and when traffic signal malfunctions or accidents require
· Operates a two-way radio to receive instructions and information from or to report information to police headquarters; maintains vehicle, weapons, and other equipment in standard working order.
· Advises the public on laws and local ordinances
· Assists with fire and rescue calls as required
· Prepares and submits accurate written reports
